MAIL ART SWAP NOVEMBER
These are a few of the postcards and envelopes I made for Lenna Andrews' Mail Art Swap.
The envelopes were made from copy paper used as a background when I sprayed the postcards with watercolor paint. They were backed with another sheet of paper, also spray painted.
The postcards were leftover unfinished pieces from a Textured Surfaces workshop given by Lynda Monk. They are canvas bases.
The backs are hand dyed fabric. Decorative papers were cut out as background for addresses, which were done in various sizes, fonts, colors, etc. All were rubber stamped. Before mailing, they were hand cancelled at the post office.
The tree is stenciled with a gel medium, corrugated coffee sleeve, watercolor and beading.
The leaves were textured with gel medium, skeleton leaves, stitching, dye pens, watercolor, ribbon, fibre and beading.
The last one was textured with gel medium, dye pens, watercolor.
